Hi! I'm
Dr. Alexander Kies
Currently Postdoctoral Researcher @ RWTH Aachen University
I research how brain–computer interfaces and other emerging technologies go from “sci-fi cool” to “actually useful” in services. My work examines how they transform encounters, reshape interaction, and raise new questions about well-being. I share these insights as a speaker and organizer of international academic events.

MY RESEARCH
Brain-Computer Interfaces
My research brings brain–computer interfaces from the lab to practice, exploring their use as recommendation tools and for enhancing frontline employees in service encounters.
Human-Enhancement Technology
I examine how human enhancement technologies extend the physical, cognitive, and emotional capacities of customers and employees in service encounters.
Service Robots
& AI
I study how robots and AI enter our lives as coworkers, medical tools, and even companions, changing service encounters and relationships along the way.
